How to hang our lanterns ?
To decorate a party venue, we recommend you use fishing line or ribbons to hang your lanterns to the ceiling's structure.

To decorate your home, the easiest way is to use a picture hook that you will nail into the wall. You can then hang the lanterns at different heights using fishing line or ribbons. You can also use self-adhesive hooks (we recommend TESA Powerstrip), with which you can easily hang 5 or 6 lanterns, and which can be removed without leaving marks. For a slightly bigger cluster of lanterns, we recommend you use two hooks placed a few centimeters apart. 
If you want to hang lanterns to the ceiling, the best option would be a hook screwed into the ceiling, but  you can also use self-adhesive Tesa Powerstrips Ceiling Hook (for a weight less than 400 grams) specially made to hang easily decorations. The Tesa powestrips hooks can easily be found in hardware shops and on the Internet. 

Are the products sold with hanging accessories ?
Honeycomb balls, diamonds, drops, as well as paper fans, pompoms and star lanterns, have a little string that can be used for hanging. For paper lanterns, accordion lanterns and balloons, you need to get fishing line or ribbons. 

How many lanterns/decorations should I get to decorate my party venue, marquee etc?
We generally recommend to get 1 to 2 lanterns/decorations for every 3 m2. You can then adjust to what you feel is right for your event and to your budget:
As far as how to organise the lanterns, there a several options:  
- you can organise several clusters of lanterns at various points of the ceiling, like chandeliers
- or you can scatter them all over the ceiling

Are lanterns sold with lighting accessories ?  
Our lanterns are sold without lighting accessories.

Can I illuminate the lanterns ?
Well you know what, we are firm believers that our lanterns are pretty even without light ! Most of our clients use them as simple decoration items... but if you really care about it !  
For the product "paper lantern" in sizes 35cm and 50cm, you can use a bulb of 40W max, making sure you center the bulb right in the middle of the lantern, using the little "C" hook on top of the lantern to fix the electrical cord.
You can also use LED bulb of maximum 40W. For baby lanterns (15cm) and accordion lanterns you can only use mini battery-operated LED lights.  These LED lights are also recommend if you want to light up individually each lantern, for an event for instance. We strongly recommend the BUTTONLITE LED lights that are, according us, the best lighting system for our products (available on this site)

Can I use a candle to light up the lanterns ?
OUR PRODUCTS CANNOT BE USED WITH A CANDLE OR NEAR OPEN FLAMES.

I am looking for very specific colors; are your pictures close to reality ?  
We try our best to feature pictures that are showing colors as close to reality as possible. But please note that colors can vary according to your computer screen and settings. Also most of our products being in paper, the color rendering can slightly change according to the luminosity of the room.  
Also, many of our products are handmade, hence the slight difference of shades you can find from one product to another.

How to fluff pompoms and assemble other products ?
We send you the pompoms and other products flat, so that they don't get damaged during delivery. But they are super easy to assemble and most of them even don't need instructions. For pompoms, LOVE balloons and star lanterns, you can watch instructions videos here >>>>> .

If I order today, when will I receive my parcel ? 
Whatever the time of the year, Your order is always processed and shipped from our warehouse located in France within 24h working hours after you placed it on our website, from Monday to Friday, excluding French bank holidays. If you order before 10h, you can be sure your order will be sent from our warehouse the same day. 
Then the delivery time varies between shipping choice and your country.

We deliver worldwide using French Postal Services (La Poste Colissimo). Shipping time ranges from 4 to 14 business days. Shipping price will be worked out according to the size of your order and will be displayed on screen before payment.

I would like to know the status of my order... how can I do that ?
In the section "My account" > "My orders", you can access your order status. When your parcel leaves our warehouse, an email is sent to you, with a tracking number so that you can follow the delivery progress on the French Post website (here>>>) for standard deliveries or the TNT website here >>>>. for express deliveries.

When in doubt, remember that we always send parcels within 24h after an order is placed on our website (from Monday to Friday, except French bank holidays).


I still haven't received my order, what can I do ? 
When we send your parcel, we email you with a tracking number (see above). Please check your spam, as sometimes our emails go straight there !
You just need to get connect to the tracking sites (French Post here>>> and  TNT website here >>>>.) and type in your tracking number to get the delivery latest status.

REFUNDS POLICY


I changed my mind, can I return my products ?
We try our best to satisfy our clients, but you have the right to change your mind. You can return one or more products, in the same condition in which you received them, and at your own cost,  back to us within 14 working days from the moment you received your parcel.  First and foremost you need to get in touch with our consumer relations by email contact@sous-le-lampion.com. if a returned product is damaged or its packaging is missing/damaged, it won't be reimbursed nore exchanged. The returned products will have to be sent back to us with the delivery slip sent with the original parcel to the address that will be given to you by our consumer relations team. We won't accept any products whose return had not been informed to us before.

I think one of my product is faulty, what can I do?
All of our products are checked before dispatch. However, in the unlikely event of a product being damaged or faulty, please do not use it. Contact us at contact@sous-le-lampion.com as soon as possible.

I made a mistake in my order. Can I modify it after payment ?  
We prepare your order so quickly that it is unfortunately impossible to modify an order once it's payed and validated.
